For prospective undergraduates there are many opportunities in the majors that are housed within the college: Agronomy, Plant Protection, Plant Science and Technology, Seed Science and Engineering. The curriculum provides a strong science background as well as hands-on, working with plant experience. Research and internship opportunities, from the basic to the applied, abound.

Agronomy

The Agronomy major is designed for students who are interested in plants and soils as it is related to economic crop production and environmental protection. It has five core courses: crop cultivation, Science of Farming system, crop breeding Science, seed science, and Crop Science Experiments.

Plant Protection

Plant Protection is for students who love plants and science. You can explore plants at the molecular, cellular, and ecological levels. It has five core courses: Agricultural Plat Pathology, Agricultural Entomology, Plant Chemical Protection, Plant Quarantine, and Methodology for Plant Diseases and Insect Pests.

Plant Science and Technology

Plant Science and Technology major will give you a scientific understanding of how plants grow and develop in managed ecosystems and how plant products are utilized for food, fiber, fuel and environmental enhancement. Advances in science and technology are providing new options for using plants to support a growing global population, while minimizing adverse impacts on our natural resources. It has six core courses: Farming system, crop breeding Science, Plant Biotechnology, Integrative Experiment of Biotechnology, crop cultivation, and Crop Science Experiments.

Seed Science and Engineering

Seed Science and Engineering is for the students who are keen on crop genetics and breeding and seed production and management. Core courses for the Seed Science and Engineering major include: Crop Breeding Science, Seed Processing and Storage, Technology of seed testing, Seed Industry and Technology, etc.
